I can't say it's better than Alcone sponges because they're so similar, it really comes down to personal preference. In my opinion, the Camera Ready sponges are a touch firmer than Alcone sponges. I think I prefer the Camera Ready sponge for a more full coverage moment, and the Alcone for more casual modest work looks.
The Camera ready sponge, for my skin situation, applied contour in a more precise and airbrushed way. I'd probably order the camera ready over the Alcone sponges when the time comes. I love these sponges so much to help blend out eyeshadow, apply liquids and creams, bake on my cheeks. Call me crazy, but I wash these thoroughly with soap and water and try to use them as much as possible, I get about 4-8 uses out of one sponge.
